@Jessica, I’ll definitely check out those two books. Renni Browne’s Self-Editing for Fiction Writers sounds particularly useful.

@website design, I agree, the whole book is interesting. It’s just that I finished a year long course on proper grammar and style for sports journalists, so, some parts were less appealing for me.

I got half way through the book and stopped during the toolbox segment (I know grammar and didn’t find this particularly useful). Sounds like I should go back and finish the last two segments though.

You may want to check out SELF-EDITING FOR FICTION WRITERS by Renni Browne and Dave King and STEIN ON WRITING by Sol Stein if you’re interested in learning how to write better. Like King’s book, they give a lot of good insights, but unlike King’s book they’re both dedicated wholly to the idea of making you a better author.
